Article Processing Charges

International Journal of Multidisciplinary and Current Research (IJMCR)

1. APC Structure and Rationale

As a dedicated Gold Open Access journal, IJMCR does not generate revenue from subscriptions. The journal is fully financed by Article Processing Charges (APCs) paid by authors or their institutions/funders only upon acceptance of a manuscript.

The APC covers the costs associated with all aspects of the publishing process, including:

  • Editorial administration and manuscript management
  • Plagiarism screening and ethical compliance checks
  • Double-blind peer review coordination
  • Professional copyediting, typesetting, and formatting (PDF and HTML)
  • Online hosting, permanent archiving, and infrastructure maintenance (OJS, server costs)
  • Assignment of a permanent digital identifier (DOI)

2. Standard Article Processing Charge (APC)

The standard APC is applied only after an article has successfully completed the peer review process and has been editorially accepted for publication.

Item Fee (For Indian Authors / Institutions) Fee (For International Authors)
Standard APC (Per Accepted Article) ₹ 2,500 INR $ 100 USD

No Submission Fee: There are no fees for submitting a manuscript, or for articles that are rejected during the review process.

Payment Due: Payment instructions will be provided with the official acceptance letter. The APC must be paid before the article is sent for final production and publication.

3. Discretionary APC Waiver and Discount Policy

IJMCR is committed to ensuring that financial ability is never a barrier to publishing high-quality research. Accordingly, the journal offers a discretionary discount and waiver policy.

A. Discounts for Exceptional Quality

In cases where a manuscript is judged by the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) and the Editorial Board to be of exceptional quality, high originality, and significant contribution to its field, the corresponding author may be offered a discretionary APC discount.

  • Eligibility: Based solely on scientific merit as determined by peer review and editorial assessment.
  • Decision: Made by the Editor-in-Chief after final acceptance and independent of the peer review process.

B. Waivers for Financial Hardship

Full or partial APC waivers may be granted to authors facing genuine financial hardship, particularly those from low- and middle-income countries with limited institutional funding.

  • Request Timing: Waiver or discount requests must be submitted at the time of initial manuscript submission (or fee inquiry).
  • Process: Authors must provide a justification. Requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Editorial Office.

Crucial Note: Requesting an APC discount or waiver will not influence the editorial decision. All editorial decisions are based entirely on the outcome of the peer review process.
